back-to-top
We design our menu to be flexible, nutritious, and respectful of each child’s individual needs.

Food is prepared fresh onsite daily in our commercial kitchen by "chef" Emily, our cook and food manager. She has a wide range of experience in food service spanning 10 years, and has even worked as a private nanny for 3 years.

We view meal times as a key opportunity for children to learn and build upon skills surrounding sharing, social etiquette and thoughtfulness.

Our meals are seasonal—lighter options in summer and hearty, warming dishes like soups and curries in winter—all prepared in-house in our commercial kitchen. Wherever possible, meals are cooked entirely from scratch using locally sourced, whole ingredients. We provide gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and plant-based alternatives, ensuring children with allergies or specific dietary requirements always have safe and satisfying options.

We are thoughtful and intentional about every ingredient we use. We avoid processed foods, seed oils, refined sugars, chemical additives and unnecessary shortcuts that compromise nutrition. Instead, we focus on whole, natural foods, high-quality produce, and careful preparation methods such as soaking legumes and incorporating extra nourishment into meals. Our aim is to cater to all dietary needs while gently exposing children to new flavours, supporting their preferences, and ensuring they always feel comfortable, confident and well-fed.

A message from “Chef” Emily:

“I look forward to preparing meals for your child with love, care and a great food ethos. I am throughful about ingredients and preparation which means that I always prefer to make food from scratch. I do not take shortcuts that result in a loss of nutrition. I avoid all processed foods and opt for high quality ingredients, meaning things like no seek oils, no refined sugars, no chemical additives, suing whole natural foods, as well as of course sneaking extra goodness in wherever possible. I cater for all allergies, making sure to have alternative meals for different dietary needs, and aim to bring exposure to new foods whilst also making sure children are always satisfied.

Integrated learning and children’s participation in the food culture at Montessori will also be a focus of mine. Menus are created to include meals of international cuisines corresponding to term curriculum to enhance the children's experience when learning about different countries.

I am always open and available to discuss your child's needs and feedback.”
