What makes Montessori Seacliff special?

Child-led Learning

Child-led learning is a fundamental principle of Montessori, achieved through thoughtfully designed experiences. Our teachers follow each child’s wonder – listening, guiding and encouraging them to construct their own learning based on their ideas and shared thinking. The classroom itself is the “other teacher”.

Our distinctive curriculum ignites curiosity through art, science, music, food and wellbeing. Each day, we nurture children’s growth, empowering them to become confident, capable and engaged learners.

Safety

Nothing matters more than creating safe and secure environments for children.

Our exceptional safety record is only achieved with experienced, in-house staff. Centres that rely on temporary, casual and inexperienced staff place your child at additional risk.

Every element of our service and practices are designed to provide safety standards well above industry standards.

Smaller, family-focused centre

We are licenced for 40 children, whilst those large, new centres you see are often licenced for 140+.

Our small scale allows families, children and Educators to create meaningful, lasting connections. Large centres can be overwhelming for a child.

Children before shareholders

As an independent centre, child safety, well-being and education isn’t compromised by delivering profit to shareholders.

A significant share of the childcare industry is now dominated by large, national chains which are ASX-listed companies.

Family-owned and operated

Montessori Seacliff is owned and operated by Nina and Jason Williams who have two children under 4 years of age.

They’re working in the centre daily to deliver the safety and educational outcomes they expect for their own children.

Educators and families have a strong and communicative relationship with the owners, allowing improvements to be implemented quickly.

Experienced Educators

Our Educators are highly qualified, energetic, innovative and dedicated.

Families enjoy a stable, familiar, long-term staffing team at Montessori Seacliff. Our experienced team have been working together for many years, and are on permanent contracts with a consistent schedule.

We employ two Early Childhood Teachers, even though regulations only require us to have one.

Leadership

Our leadership team recognises and values educators as professionals who bring unique skills, perspectives and passions to the centre and the programs they deliver. Through strong, supportive leadership, each educator is guided along their professional journey with mentorship, collaboration and ongoing development opportunities. We foster a culture of intentional practice and critical reflection, building a community where educators feel both supported and inspired to grow — ensuring high-quality outcomes for children

Learning Environment

Our learning environments are welcoming, inclusive spaces where children, educators, families and the community feel a strong sense of belonging. Each space supports group and solitary play, with open-ended resources thoughtfully presented to encourage creativity, exploration and meaningful learning.

Our outdoor areas emphasise natural materials, fostering curiosity and a connection to the natural world.

Spaces are intentionally designed, allowing children access a wide range of experiences throughout their day. The amount of learning resources are limited to avoid overwhelming children, but regularly swapped out to inspire new experiences.

We are located away from noisy main roads, in the quiet backstreets of Seacliff, only 450m from the ocean, where you can feel and smell the sea breeze.

Changes to the Child Care Subsidy

The 3 Day Guarantee. What does it mean for your family?

From 5 January 2026, the Australian Government is updating the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to guarantee at least 3 days of subsidised early childhood education and care per week. This means that all CCS-eligible families will receive at least 72 hours per fortnight (3 days per week) of subsidised childcare regardless of their work, study, or volunteering status.

Since we are a government approved childcare provider, if you are eligible for CCS you will be entitled to the new 3 Day Child Care Subsidy Guarantee.
